Together we have designed, built and operated the CanVote system since 2003.

Joe G. Church, MASc, P Eng, Founder and President

Mr. Church has over 30 years of experience in advanced telecommunications and Information Technology at senior management levels in Canada and internationally. He completed a Masters degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Toronto Aerospace Institute.

During a lengthy career at Bell Canada, he developed back office systems, directed Marketing Research, Network Planning and Policy Development and had many other responsibilities. He was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing and Development for Bell Canada International deploying telecommunications networks around the world. He was Vice President of Corporate Development for (now) Rogers Wireless during the birth of cellular telecommunications.

He founded and was CEO of various innovative wireless data and voice telecommunications companies in Canada and internationally with major partners including AT&T Wireless and XO Communications and investors including Goldmans Sachs, Providence Ventures and TD Capital.

Laurent Vincelette, MSc (E-Commerce), VP Information Technologies

Mr. Vincelette has been responsible for the development and operation of CanVote's electronic voting technologies since 2003. He has over 20 years of experience in computer science and telecommunications including development of internet television broadcast systems, content management systems, web sites, and internet strategies and analysis. He has lectured on Information Technology at Edward Montpetit community college and CRIM Research Centre in Montreal.
